Redondo Beach Police Reserve Program

Mike Stark has volunteered as a Reserve Police Officer for the Redondo Beach Police Department for 45 years.  He serves as the Reserve Commander for the Reserve Corps.

In Mike’s capacity as a reserve officer, he has worked in most areas of the department, including patrol, investigations, the beach patrol, and he is a member of the Crisis Negotiations Team.  The majority of his time is spent in patrol, usually on the weekend either on the swing or graveyard shift.  In August 2005, Mike was selected as the Reserve Officer of the Year for the State of California. 

When Mike is not working at the Department, he is a business executive, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer of American Financial Network Advisory Services LLC.  He has also served as a member of various boards of directors. 

Mike was selected by the Redondo Beach Rotary Club to receive honorary membership in Rotary International and received the Paul Harris Award in 2010 due to his volunteer work in the Redondo Beach community.

Mike met his wife Tracy when she was a dispatcher for the Redondo Beach Police Department over 43 years ago and they celebrated their 42nd Wedding anniversary in May. They have four fabulous adult children and three grandchildren and reside in Westlake Village. .
